Born to Lead: Why We’re Building a Culture of Mentorship at Thaloz

Panelists at the evento Born to Lead

At Thaloz, we’ve always believed that building great teams goes beyond technical skills. It’s about people, mindset, and the kind of leadership that creates impact far beyond day-to-day work.

This March, in the context of International Women’s Day, we hosted a special gathering at Thaloz House: “Born to Lead”, an experience designed to open a conversation that we believe is long overdue.

Not about titles. Not about hierarchy.

But about leadership as something that is built, shared, and multiplied.

Rethinking what leadership looks like

One of the key ideas that emerged during the session was the concept of “women makers”, women who not only grow in their own careers but actively create space for others to grow.

→ Women who lead with intention.

→ Who mentor, guide, and support.

→ Who make others feel seen, capable, and ready.

Because leadership today is not just about performance, it’s about influence, empathy, and the ability to build environments where others can thrive.

The real differentiator: soft skills

Throughout the conversation, one theme came up again and again: soft skills are no longer optional, they are essential.

In a world where technical expertise is increasingly accessible, what truly sets professionals apart is:

  • How they communicate
  • How they collaborate
  • How they navigate uncertainty
  • How they show up for others

Leadership is no longer defined only by what you know, but by how you relate, how you adapt, and how you empower.

Why mentorship matters (now more than ever)

The decision to create “Born to Lead” wasn’t accidental.

It comes from a deeper belief: ecosystems grow stronger when knowledge is shared, not siloed.

Mentorship is one of the most powerful ways to accelerate that growth.

It shortens learning curves.

It builds confidence.

It creates networks of trust.

And most importantly, it makes leadership visible.

Because one of the biggest barriers, especially for women in tech and leadership, is not capability, but visibility.

You can’t become what you can’t see.

Building something bigger than an event

“Born to Lead” is not a one-time initiative.

It’s part of a broader intention at Thaloz: to build a culture where mentorship is embedded into how we grow as a company and as a community.

Where leadership is shared.

Where experience is passed forward.

Where people don’t grow alone.

By opening these spaces, we’re not just investing in individuals. We’re contributing to a stronger, more connected ecosystem.

What comes next

This is just the beginning.

We’ll continue creating spaces for conversation, connection, and mentorship, both within Thaloz and across the broader tech community.

Because leadership is not something you wait for.

It’s something you step into.

And something you help others step into too.
